Why senses. Yoga?

I offer classes that are balanced yet challenging, intimate yet liberating. I deeply believe that Yoga is for everybody — in every body. Having studied pedagogy, worked in marketing, and through years of personal growth and self-reflection, I have developed a deep understanding of inner processes. This allows me to hold a safe and supportive space for others as they explore their own journey.

My Story.

I have been passionate about yoga for the last 16 years. In fact, becoming a yoga teacher wasn't my intention at all in the beginning. But yoga found me when I was experiencing burnout, which left me with tinnitus. Yoga came into my life at a time when I needed to change the most. Being a yoga teacher is my way of giving that transformative experience back to my students.

Following my very challenging period in marketing in Berlin, I recognized the urgent need for a change in my life. I completed my yoga teacher training in India and underwent a drastic shift in both job and lifestyle - with that I owe my health, sanity and joy of life to yoga. What happened after these changes are just beautiful and brought me even more into my purpose why I am here - and why you are crucial, too.

My mission is now to make yoga accessible to those around me. I offer humorous and aligning classes that invite you to discover the sweet spot of your soul.

Profile of Hatha yoga teacher Julia M. Heyer
Since 15 years, I have been a devoted student of yoga, and for the last 4 years, I have had the pleasure and blessings of teaching yoga as well.

My education is deeply rooted in tradition, as I learned yoga at Yoga Vidya Gorukul in India, near Mumbai. Here, I received my first certification as a Hatha yoga teacher, followed by another additional certification as a pre- and postnatal yoga teacher.

Furthermore, I have attended several workshops on deepening meditation practice at Kaivalyadhama in Lonavla, India, and I am a certified student of phytotherapy in Berlin.

My approach to yoga emphasizes relaxation through a practice that integrates movement, vocal expression, and breathwork.
